News of me: Got my first ordinary mail rejection form letter. Ah well, back on the horse and all that. Forget F&SF for now, I finished “A City Hanging” about the underwater city today, and sent it out to an online scifi magazine. The more times I try the greater chance that someone, someday will get interested, yeah?
I’m already starting my next story. This one is about a guy who’s afraid to teleport because of his religious fundamentalist upbringing. Also trying to re-work “World Without Start” and thinking of sending it to Asimov’s Science Fiction, the magazine I had a subscription to in high school and college. It would be amazing to one day be published by the same magazine I read back in the day, although I worry about print journals dying out and all. It may not stick it out long enough for me to make it in, which would be sad for me.
Guess I better write faster.
